Don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart, I just don't think it understands~~ And if you break my heart, my achy breaky heart, it might blow up and kill this man, Woooooo~~~ Yep, getting contry-pop style with Billy Ray Cyrus. OK, the real reason for this entry is that, out of curiosity, while watching Youtube, I typed all the boybands I've been listening to in the 90's. Boy, that really took me down to memory lane, as in flashbacks, not the store. I've been listening to like, The Moffatts, Backstreet Boys, N'SYNC, Gil, Aaron Carter, Ultra, Kavana, 911, Take Five, Five, Take That, New Kids On The Block, All-4-One, Boyz II Men, I grew up listening to these songs, singing along with my sister. Actually I improved my English by listening to English songs. My mom actually encouraged me to listen to English songs, much to my dad's dismay, who said don't neglect Malay song, unfortunately, they don't appeal to me, except for Siti Nurhaliza and Amy Mastura and KRU.Shit, it's like getting in a Pensieve, like in Harry Potter, where you can delve into other peoples memory. Looking back, I was a happy, pudgy kid. I was hit with the girls back then. Moderately intelligent, a teachers pet, mischievous, I wan like a mix of everything. These songs are actually like chapters in my Life I've been listening to spark the long lost memory of being a kid. Listening to pop songs made me Happy, singing your guts out, dancing like drunken strippers, swaying hips here and there. I had that stint where I was afraid I'm gay or something, so I manned myself to like girls and success I achieved. it was great to flirt at the age of 12. Singing to girls was my specialty back then. They all blushed and ran away. I know, it was corny as fuck, singing to girls, holding flowers. Shit that was embarrassing as heck.
It all started in the early 90's, like in 1992, I was 3 years old. The first song I can remember is Enter Sandman, Metallica. It was a hit, and Nirvana wasthe King of 90's, conquering Generation X like a hurricane. I memorized songs when I was 3, like Enter Sandman and Lithium. 3 years old, people think kids that age only knows nursery rhymes. Fast forward to primary school, I ruled the singing stage, like Rachel in GLEE, well, NOT like Rachel, but I just love to sing, everythime there's free time, I sing alone or with someone. Serenading to girls, I was quite a charmer at that time. Hehe, stupid things boys do to impress girls.
I freakin' miss those times. I just wanna break out into a song in public and sing it to her, like Blaine did in episode 12 Season 2 of GLEE at The Gap. OK, enough GLEE references. I wanna be that kid again, brave, shameless, doing things that he thinks is right to impress girls. I'd give my heart and soul to God to turn back time and relive those memorable primary school days. I thought back then, what I want to be when I grow up, a teacher asked me, I want to be in a boyband, sing like KRU and Backstreet Boys. the teacher laughed and everyone else. That made me think back after that. Innocent and Naive... Cool right?
So, listening to the songs, it evokes that happiness, it lowers my Blood Pressure, and gave me wet dreams along the way. Well, it's a short entry, just wanna express it, coz I've been breaking balls since last night, jigsaw puzzling my thesis chapter 2, Literature Review. So, until next time, dear readers, Goodbye, see you people again, and Wassalam. Rizalinium has been awfully quite these days. he hasn't syrfaced for over a month. He is like, my dark muse to write a blog. That's why I've lost my finesse, but when he's gone, I feel relieved he doesn't mess my head with carzy notions and ideas. OK, enough chitter chatter. Goodbye, again, and again, Wassalam...
